Sacramento County

Sacramento County Sacramento County 2 Sacramento County 3

Sacramento County is full of rich history and charm, founded in 1850 as a result of the Gold Rush. Sacramento itself is the state capital of California and was the 2nd largest city, next to San Francisco during its early years. The vast lands extend from the low delta acreage between the Sacramento River, San Joaquin River, including Suisun Bay, beyond the state capital and into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The southern most region has direct access to San Francisco Bay from the port of Sacramento where it ships primarily local agricultural products and bulk goods and continue to support local economic growth.

Sacramento County is recognized as the sunniest location on the planet for 3 months of the year, July through September, where July sees over 14 hours a day of sunlight, rarely seeing snow being at or just below sea level. This makes the area a great location for recreational activities and year round outdoor festivities. During the summer months, you’ll find residents fishing and boating their way thru delta channels, stopping at local water front eateries and pubs while enjoying live bands and entertainment. Historic Old Sacramento features over 53 historic buildings, an impressive State Railroad Museum and hosts many events including one of the worlds largest jazz festivals. Home to the California State University, Sacramento International Airport, Sacramento Kings basketball team, Golden 1 Arena and many historical museums, landmarks and offering its visitors and local abundant culture.

Sacramento County is growing rapidly as new homes flourish in the expanding suburbs of Elk Grove, Folsom, Roseville, Citrus Heights, and Rocklin. Plans for Sacramento cities future which enrich neighboring cities suggests development of the Gold Rush Park, a massive park situated downtown and would rival in size some of the largest municipal parks in the nation. Sacramento County residents enjoy affordable housing, ample employment opportunities and a wealth of amenities in the exciting capital city of the golden state. The area features gorgeous Victorian homes, modern warehouse style lofts, chic farm houses, suburban white picket fenced neighborhoods, apartment living, condos and boundless mid-century modern single family homes.
